Community Organizing “ain’t no joke”

During the 2008 Republican National Convention, Rudy Giuliani’s punch line from the podium was that Barack Obama’s qualification for becoming President of the United States was being a “community organizer”.  At the time, the line got a lot of laughs, but in retrospect, the laughter may have come at our nation’s peril.

It’s because I’ve finally figured out what being a “community organizer” really means.  “Community organizing” is the political tactic of focusing on the segments of society who consistently fail to take responsibility for their own sustenance and fate as free people (the young, the “poor”, the disinterested, etc.), and corralling these apathetic souls like stockyard cattle to be herded to the polls and win elections, or to the government trough to claim and secure the treasure of public resources.

A basic precept of our form of representative governance is the concept of “one man—one vote”.  Each citizen enjoys an equal opportunity to participate in choosing how he will be governed and who will represent her will in government “by their own consent”.  The “will of the people” is revealed by way of the vote.  Majority consensus rules, subject to checks and balances that protect minority rights.  It’s government “of the people, by the people, and for the people”, “established” as a protection for our essential rights to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”.

”Community organizing” gives revolutionary activists like Barack Obama the power to subvert the traditional and legitimate model of representative self governance, so that power can be effectively stripped from “the establishment” (regardless of whether it’s the Democrats or Republicans who hold the power).  Through “community organizing”, the “will” of the subversive revolutionary can be asserted through commandeering, and then wielding, the power of the vote lying dormant in the mass segments of the population who normally have neither the “will”, nor feel a “responsibility” towards active involvement in self governance.  The precept concept of “One man—One vote” is “transformed” into a revolutionary force controlling many votes, and thus taking control over the power and resources of government.  Ultimately, once power is achieved, there is opportunity to fundamentally change the actual apparatus and even the form of government to a model more suitable to centralized control.

The mastery of such a concept is manifested in the phenomenon who announced on the eve of his election that, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America”.  Barack Obama rose seemingly from nowhere to vanquish both the Democrat  and the Republican  “establishment”.  He skillfully used his political tactics of “community organizing” to conquer a favorite daughter (and son) of the Democratic Party in Hillary Rodham Clinton (and husband Bill), to become the Democratic Party nominee for President.  Then he masterfully used the same tactics to vanquish a favorite son of the GOP (and perhaps the nation) in John McCain.  The “community organizer” thus emerged victorious as the 44th President of the United States.

The executive office of the nation that claims by its birth to have “established Liberty” on the globe is now occupied by a man who proclaimed a belief that the crafting of the Constitution by our Founders “represented the fundamental flaw in this country that continues to this day”.  That these are the words of the 44th President of the United States, or any president of the United States, is what truly makes the election of Barack Obama “historic” in a way that few seem to realize.

As a result of Barack Obama’s ascent to the throne, America’s GOP found itself in total disarray on the precipice of irrelevance, and the McAuliffe/Clinton core of the Democratic Party found itself relegated to the bench at the sidelines, tending the water cart.  In their place, ”The One” stands where Washington, Jefferson, Madison, and Lincoln once stood, surrounded by the likes of Cass Sunstein, David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel, and a Communications Director who declares Mao Tse-Tung as one of her favorite political philosophers.  And it’s all happening right out in the open, right before America’s eyes.  God help us and our progeny if we as a nation don’t awaken from this slumber.  “Community organizing” as it turns out, “ain’t no joke”.

Do you notice that no body responds to your post on this site? Should tell you something. I’m sure this will be deleted, but just wanted to let you know.

Hey, as long as one “normal person” responds, it was worth the time to do the thinking and do the writing.

What’s disappointing about today’s political “discourse” (if you can even call it “discourse”) is that you’re not showing that you’ve actually even read my posted essay, examined my position, and decided whether or not it holds any merit. I’d much rather hear your critique than “we don’t like your kind” insults from behind the hooded veil of anonymous comments. Heck, maybe you’d even be able to pursuade me to adopt your viewpoint, but of course, I don’t know what your viewpoint is, because you don’t express one. I really wish you would…

I read all the articles here.

So, “Normal Person”, just because there are no comments does not mean anything per se.

I operated my own blog for one year. If you like, I will send you my statistics for that one year.

What anyone with a brain would see immediately is that the number of comments or lack thereof have absolutely nothing to do with how many people saw this or that story.

But nice try anyway with respect to the attempt to marginalize this blog!
